Hiya!
I was wondering, general discussions sections aren't just limited to general random discussions right?
I can post news & info in general discussion sections as long as they're related to the section ?
That would add to the section by posting news & info open to discussion.

Post wherever you feel the thread will fit in best. The worst case scenario we can move the thread to the "correct" section, but we dont really get concerned over such things.

News is perfectly fine in the GD section, though some may need to go in the Deep Discussion sub-section depending on the content being discussed.
