Berserk: Episode 2.

Honestly, I feel as if the anime is damn good at managing to capture the impact and the dramatic feel of the manga superbly, the differences between the manga and anime are as I can say are, weird I don’t see any reason to change it because most of the time you won’t get a better scene than the source material. Like the Griffith V Guts battle, I preferred how the manga handled it. I was hoping to see the Griffith’s “I like you.” Line and face in the anime, as well as Guts “are you a homo?” moment.

Also, poo to the idea that :donovan didn’t appear in the anime, he just did in this episode in Guts flashback… Which admittedly I feel like was handled better than it was in the manga itself, it helps to build up suspense when you’re shown the outcome but you have no idea of how it ended up like that.
I think Guts' flashback with Gambino was presented way better in the manga. The anime's portrayal of it is too short for us to have a real sense of Gambino's relationship with Guts, as well as Guts' feeling for the man he considered a father, with the lack of scenes like Gambino giving Guts the medicine, teaching him stuff on the battlefield and so on. I think it was too fast peaced for us to have a sense of how sad Guts must have felt.

How is the anime, Gog?
Need to get around to watching more of it.
Why subject yourself to the anime?
I'm not watching the 2016 one, and even then the quality has dropped so much in the manga.
Which anime are you watching?
The one that isn't :trash

I disagree, but whatever. The 97 anime is alright, the movies and recent anime are just awful trash.

Berserk: Episode 3.

I love the range Guts VA has, Griffith and Gambino's VA's fit them too well. The ending, and start will never stop being trash, never should you have a singer who clearly does not know how to sing in English... Sing in English.

Now onto the episode; While this episode was arguably the most pretty one yet, with breath taking shots, and stunning visual direction. Unfortunately the episode just left me wondering why Guts backstory was so heavily mutilated, and chopped up as it was. No Donovan, no Shishu, no scenes between Guts and Gambino bonding. All this episode does is make everyone more shallower than they are in the manga, Gambino was hit the hardest here considering we never even got to see Shishu. Also, it seems the Behelit theme is only used in important moments.

Screw it, The Anime has too few differences, is too good, and I'm watching JoJo. I'll continue reading the manga.

So, why do the trolls even bother raping them?

Holy shit. Maybe I underestimated the trolls, and did my judgement a bit too early.
