I totally love Boa Hancock.
I didn't at first, i thought Boa Hancock was a jerk, kicking cats & dogs & her obnoxious attitude in the way she treated people, but her love for Luffy made her stupid lovable to me lol.
Her schoolgirl crush on Luffy makes her more human & knocks her down a peg or two in the process.

Her sob story puts much of her attitude in perspective to me & i actually starting thinking she isn't too bad.

I'm on ONE PIECE english dubbed episode 462 right now & Boa Hancock is alot better when treating the navel officers like the A-Holes they are.
I really hope she either joins Luffy's crew or she makes alot ALOT more appearances as an ally.

Boa Hancock is a wicked fighter.
Image

She would be perfect for StreetFighter, MortalKombat, GodOfWar, or any fighting games.
She's awesome.
Boa's crush on Luffy is the most infuriating thing about her. It comes out of fucking nowhere. And it does nothing to make me like her, only hate her even more. And her sob story was only ever lame to me, it also never really justifies her behavior.
Watching more & more to episode 485, seeing how the navy, pirates like black beard, the admirals are, how there are A-holes being cruel for the sake of being cruel I still can see her reasoning for the cold heartless attitude she has & her love for Luffy fits even more.

The episodes before he meets Boa puts it in perspective too.
It was seriously messed up, i can understand her hatred towards people & wanting to keep some at a distance.

What was done to her & her sisters it's no surprise she'd fall for Luffy & I really hope Boa marries Luffy.

What do you mean, the whole point of the navy is to protect people, the navy as a whole, the good ones at the very least are just doing their job. Heck, even though I consider them to be assholes I consider them to be amazing assholes.
[+] Spoiler

Sakazuki alone blows her out of the water character wise.

Also, why would a boring, cliched, and unmemorable backstory make me like the unlikable character such as her? Her backstory is just such a nothing thing that it didn't even get it's own chapter, only a few panels. Also, no. Her love for Luffy is something that comes out of complete left field, one moment she doesn't give a shit about him, and the next moment she's a school girl near her pop star.

It's poor writing, her love for Luffy is just simply that.

Beware Spoilers if you haven't seen episodes 490 something & up.

The World Government has their own agenda.
They written off ALL pirates as criminals low lifes, thieves & murderers.
While the navy themselves serve & protect the likes of the Celestial Dragons.

The Celestial Dragons Who live on Mariejois are allowed to kill or commit whatever atrocities they wish simply because they feel like it & no one says a word because the The World Government allows it.

The Celestial Dragons also capture pirates among other innocent non pirate civilians, brand them for life............
Image

Outfitted with an exploding collar & sold off as slaves to serve whatever purpose for the rest of their days.
Image

Why!?
The World Nobles, also known as the Celestial Dragons (天竜人 Tenryūbito?, literally meaning "Heavenly Dragon Folk"), are the descendants of nineteen of the Twenty Kings who established what is now known as the World Government.
The World Nobles — specifically those of Roswald's family — are considered the main antagonists of the Sabaody Archipelago Arc.

Brings us to Boa Hancock who was Sold to the Celestial Dragons during childhood, she and her sisters are force-fed devil fruits and branded as slaves.

A few panels in the manga or not to me her back story more than clarifies her behavior & completely changed my initial outlook towards her.

Boa Hancock is one of my favorites at the moment.

Akainu is a huge DICK, a loud mouth DICK & needs a slow embarrassing death.

Well you're welcome to think that all you want, it doesn't change The World Government from being total A-Holes with an extremely ridiculously warped sense of right & wrong & a tremendously lack of understanding what justice is.

Boa is a disgusting creature, her backstory has not justified her actions, and her current personality. Which is why I have such a big problem with it. As a whole, she's a vain, selfish, cruel person who uses her looks to manipulate everyone around her. She's petty, and she's incredibly sadistic. Being a slave doesn't justify any of the terrible things she did, and what she ended up as in the end.

She's a terrible person, and she's not treated as one by the narrative.

Akainu is a great character, he follows what he believes to be right down to a tee, he also made the best moment in One Piece, and has redeeming qualities. Boa needs to die a slow, horrible humiliating death.

Then you're completely turning a blind eye to the behaviors of the Celestial Dragons & that of the World Government & justifying their acts of racism, cruelty, & murder.

I can understand that & that's fine but to say Boa-Hancock's tragic past isn't responsible for her behavior is saying the Celestial Dragons & the World Government wasn't wrong for doing the terrible things they did to her.

So, becoming a vile, sadistic, selfish, vain, manipulative, and petty. Is something that naturally occurs when someone escapes from being a slave? Also, One Piece itself never treats her as she should be treated, which is another problem.

Being captured, branded for life then sold off as a slave as a child to be used as seen fit how many do you think would turn out sweet & kind.

And again you're completely turning a blind eye to the cruelty that's happen to her.
That's fine not to like the character but you can't deny what she & her sisters have been through as children was wrong & horrible.

It really doesn't make you as worse, and perhaps even worse than the ones who did it to you in the first place. And have I ever claimed that what she want through was ever anything, but wrong and horrible? I've never turned a blind eye to her backstory, I just don't consider it to have ever justified her actions as a whole.

Her backstory makes her seem even worse. It's like a man beating up another man, so that other man becomes even more horrible and despicable than the man who beat him in the first place.

And once again the story doesn't treat her like a piece of shit.

You're turning a blind eye by not acknowledging what she's been through as a child played a significant role in her behavior as an adult.

If you're unwilling to link her past torments & horrible upbringing to her now then by that logic you can't justify any other character's actions now by whatever dramatic cruelty they've lived through in their childhood.

No character would be who they are now if some past life experience didn't play a hand & in their reasons & actions which turns them into the person they are today.
Her backstory makes her seem even worse. It's like a man beating up another man, so that other man becomes even more horrible and despicable than the man who beat him in the first place.

What do you expect when that's all she suffered through as a child.

Hello, they deflect bullets lol.

ANYWAY I really want Boa-Hancock to marry Luffy.
His sense of right & wrong would help dull the hatred she may have for alot of people.

I like them too but that's not the only reason i like Boa-Hancock.
It doesn't matter how big her breasts are or how beautiful she looks, if she's a terrible cruel person with no understandable reasons behind her behavior then she sucks as a character.

Seriously if it wasn't for her back story i wouldn't like her at all.

It took me the longest to somewhat like Nami.
Nami when she's nice i kinda like her but the moment she goes obnoxious a-hole then it's that much less i like of her but her back story isn't as bad, Boa-Hancock's is cruel & extremely horrible.

She was a child slave force fed devil fruit.
So yea i can understand her outlook of life.
