This thread is based off of this thread from Smogon. What they do there is pick two or three Pokémon for people to create Mega Evolutions for, which they submit and vote for. But since this isn't a forum based around Pokémon and there are obviously a lot less people who will participate in this, I have tweaked the rules a bit. There will be no voting and no restrictions on what Pokémon you can choose. You can submit however many Pokémon you want whenever, just for fun.

RULES:
1. You may add up to 3 moves to a Pokémon's movepool.
2. A Pokémon's BST has to be 100 points higher than it was before Mega Evolution.
3. You may remove up to 30 points from a Pokémon's BST to redistribute to other stats.
4. You may make up variations to the abilities Aerilate, Pixilate, and Refrigerate to fit different types.
5. You cannot change a Mega Evolved Pokémon's HP stat.

Movepool Additions (optional): Seed Flare
Description (optional): Meganium now gets STAB on Ancient Power, which now has a 20% chance to raise all of its stats by one stage thanks to its new ability: Serene Grace. It also gets Seed Flare which has an 80% chance to drop the opponents Sp. Def stat by two stages.

Grass/Rock seems awfully random XD Grass/Fairy actually sounds pretty good when you look at the pokemon.

Would anyone be interested in this? I would make a slate each week and give limitations for each Pokémon. Winning Pokémon for each week would be added to a spoiler in the OP.

I disagree. I think mega evolutions are one of the most interesting aspects introduced to Pokemon, and also give a lot of fan-favorites some viability. I think Z-moves suck, though.

Along with variations of the "ate" abilities, can you also make ones of other previous abilities, such as say, Intimidate for SPA?

Yeah, that'd be fine. As long as the mechanic of the ability isn't changed, I don't mind small modifications like that.
