Goku's tail

Can someone refresh me on this subject? Did Old Kaioshin think that pulling out Goku's tail would make him stronger? Also was it stated anywhere that Goku's stamina increased?

No. Everyone else thinks this, but Old Kaioshin never actually says it. I think this becomes clear when Old Kaio predicts Goku will become SSJ4 a full episode before it happens, while Goku is still rampaging. He is the only one who knows about the form, since Kibitoshin is shocked to hear it mentioned.

Old Kai knows the Ssjin4. But he thought by achieving it, Goku will just have to transform to do it like the other forms. But Ssjin4 required to pass Golden Oozaru to reach it.

I don't see why. He doesn't mention it at all until Goku is already Golden Oozaru. He says that if Goku can gain control of himself, he will become a Super Saiyan 4. That's the only direction he gives about it, while he and Shin are watching through the crystal ball.

Goku did say that he feels stronger with a tail in the 21st Budokai... but that boost was fairly insignificant then and it was probably moreso in GT.

Could just be a power-up from 41 to 42. To a 170 it wouldn't seem like much.

Old Kai knew the tail was the only chance they had because it would unlock SSJ4 baby commented that he had not in any way gotten any stronger than the last time they fought.
As for Goku gaining strength from his tail in db it is either small compared to GT in terms of gains to the point where it's unnoticeable or that Goku was use to his tail and had one for more than a decade and loosing it caused a toll on balance, stamina, and power because he had a change in shape and form.
