There's this really big debate on what's really canon about DBS and the simple answer is "everything", but it's a little bit more complicated than that. Toriyama isn't directly involved with either series beyond basic directions, and only writes the full script for movies. So in a way, this thread is both a "What really is DBS in Toriyama's head?" and the scaling for it.
Battle of Gods
(Following the movie as we know it.)

Future Trunks Saga
(This is when it gets tricky. The basic plot is: Trunks comes back, Black and Zamasu kicks their arses in the future, Goku and Vegeta train in the present, come back and force Merged Zamasu, and Goku calls Zeno.)
On a non-scaling side, I'd say the manga version of the Boo Saga is the definitive one (It's on Xenoverse and the anime one is a nothing burger + Shin dying there explains why Black came to Trunks' timeline) + Goku never meeting present Zamasu and Shin carrying that side of the plot makes more sense overall.)

It's a massive boost, but that's because of her bottomless LSSJ potential.
