WEIGHTED PICCOLO < BASE ADULT SAIYANS

Dr Gero said things would get interesting with Vegeta around, which implied Base Vegeta ~ Base Goku > Weighted Piccolo

WEIGHTED PICCOLO > BASE ADULT SAIYANS

Dr Gero implied the energy he'd get from Base Gohan and Tenshinhan was about the same energy he'd get from Weighted Piccolo, and Base Gohan was later implied to be close to Base Goku, since Goku said it was only because of his lack of SSJ that he wasn't a good sparring partner yet. In other words: Base Goku ~ Base Gohan < Base Gohan + Tenshinhan ~ Weighted Piccolo

Which logic will you follow?

Base Vegeta > Piccolo W/Weights > Gohan

Gohan still has a lot to catch up on.

Think of Android 19 part as “Base Piccolo” and Android 20 part as “Super Saiyan Piccolo” with weights having their effect for both variations.

So why did Goku say Gohan would be a good sparring partner if he transformed?

Gero said Vegeta would make things "more interesting", i.e. it was already interesting before.

Pretty sure Piccolo mastered his training to the point where his Weights don't really affect his strength like with Goku after training with Kaio-sama.

Then why did he bother to take them off?

Goku never wore weights after training with Kaio-sama.

Base Piccolo / Super Saiyan Piccolo is the best answer, it fixes everything here.

Super Saiyan Trunks > Super Saiyan Piccolo > Base Trunks > Base Piccolo

Well, Weighted Piccolo does rival the androids. They became irrelevant around this time.

Do you think when he fought Cell in Ginger he used the same power as against Seventeen later?
We clearly see Piccolo powering up to what is suggested to be his full power, so no.

Also like GreatSaiyaman said, Weighted Piccolo was already stated to rival 17 and 18.

When did he imply WPiccolo=Tien+Gohan? He only implied absorbing all three would be enough to overtake Vegeta. It could be that Weighted Piccolo's Gero-perceived power alone would take Gero close to rivalling Vegeta.

(It's the "Gero-perceived power", because Gero's shocked reaction to Unweighted Piccolo's power suggests can't read suppressed ki, as does them thinking Yamcha's power level could be Goku until they visibly see that it's Yamcha. So he's basing it on what Piccolo showed in his earlier attack, where Piccolo was sandbagging as part of a distraction plan).

Anyway, I can't really see how WPiccolo is weaker than Base Vegeta, unless he's supposed to get something like a x25 boost just from throwing his clothes off. Vegeta was weak enough that being absorbed for a while let him still easily kill A19 (isn't that normally a 2x+ gap?), but made him somewhat weaker than Gero. Yet Unweighted Piccolo can still easily kill Gero.
Say you think A19 absorbed half of Vegeta's energy, he's still x25 his Base. So Unweighted Piccolo would need an over x25 boost to go from being weaker than Base Vegeta while Weighted to becoming clearly stronger than post-absorb SSJ Vegeta. Unless you think A19 absorbed way more energy than that (or think there's not an equality between energy absorbed and power level increase; or think SSJ's not a x50 boost even though Vegeta just acquired SSJ).

Didn't he power up against Cell too?

Seems like weighted Piccolo was below them. I mean, the suppressed weighted Piccolo, not when Piccolo powers up with his weighted clothes, in which case he'd be, like, 83% or so of his full power imo, and on par with post absorptions Gero.

#20 seemed to treat it as a bigger deal Vegeta joining there before knowing he could become a ssj, plus Kuririn also stated something like "even Vegeta would be killed according to the boy from the future" , that before knowing Vegeta had ssj and seemingly knowing Piccolo's powers...

Edit: stronger than Gohan though.

I like to think suppressed weighted Piccolo is below the adult base Saiyans by the same amount his full power was below the SSJs in the androids saga... Like if Piccolo got a SSJ boost when not suppressing and going full power.
