I believe Sixteen (at least initially) was just a weaker version of Whiss.
Determined to avoid fights and remain neutral, even if that meant not giving
a shit about the others. The only reason he interfrered against Cell was because
he had developped some bond to the other two Androids and felt the need to
protect them.
I think that he joins Alternate Eighteen/Seventeen and, at least for a few
months/years, just shrugs off the destruction they cause. Maybe, eventually,
Alternate Gohan manages to talk him into stopping the other two Androids.
I don't think the two teens just accept to stop destroying stuff, but, after
seeing Sixteen's power, they compromise. It would be interesting to see
how they'd fit into society after that, i mean, without dragonballs, nobody
would ever forgive them for the people they killed, so they have to live
with being hated by everybody except Sixteen.
The most puzzling question is how Babidi would have been handled. If, by
the time he arrives, Androids have killed most humans, he just takes
Buu's egg and goes to find some planet with more energy, otherwise,
Dabura screws everybody.
