What if Bulma had fallen in love with Alternate Trunks?

I think there were signs she liked him before finding out he was her son.
So, what if, instead of getting with Vegeta, she had decided to wait for
3 years till she saw him again?
For one thing, Vegeta would have remained more bitter than in the
series. He'd still not misbehave though, because of the Androids'
emergency. For its greatest part, Androids Saga would have been the
same. Maybe we would see a family drama subplot in the Briefs' family
once it was revealed who Trunks was, but, in the battlefields, nothing
would essentially change.
I think the first big change would have happened when Cell killed Trunks.
Vegeta wouldn't view him as his son, so he would have neither got mad
nor attacked Cell. That would have led to a different fight between SSJ2
Gohan and Super Perfect Cell. This might have ended up in Cell's favour,
considering that, in hand to hand combat, his vast arsenal of abilities
could have given him the edge.
If Gohan had won anyway, it's hard to tell what Vegeta would have done
after Cell Games. Without Goku around and without a family to care for,
he'd have been left without a purpose. I think there is a strong chance
he'd have left for space, never to be seen again. In that case, Buu Saga
would have ended sooner, since no Vegeta means no Buu's awakening.
If Vegeta had stayed on Earth, things get more complicated. How does
Trunkses absence affect the events? Goten stays in the tournament, since
Trunks is not there to drag him into mischief. Vegeta gets killed by Fat Buu
while he's wrapped up, since Trunks isn't there to save him. As a result,
Babidi does not hold a grudge against Piccolo, Goten and Trunks, he just
keeps destroying stuff for the fuck of it.
The biggest question is Goku. Without a pair of fighters who can beat Buu
by fusing, does Goku decide to kill Buu as SSJ3? Knowing him, i say he cares
more about his obsessions than about the world, so, believing he has no
right to interfrere with the living, he never reveals SSJ3 to anyone and he
just goes back to Otherworld.
Goten, the last tiny hope left, is taken by Piccolo to the spirit room to train.
He trains for the following 2 days. The first day, Piccolo is in the room with
him (he has 1 day left after the one he used up during Cell Games) to guide
him about stuff like how he should train or how to master SSJ.
All in all, after his two years worth of training, Goten (now 9 years old) is SSJ2
and, considering he has more potential than Gohan, he's likely even stronger
than SSJ2 Goku/Majin Vegeta. I still don't think he's strong enough to beat
Buu though.
Back on Earth, Babidi is still alive (Goku's words are what caused Buu to rebel
in the series), so Hercule cannot approach and try to soften Buu, alas no puppy
story, no Super Buu.
SSJ2 Goten goes to fight Buu. He holds him off until Ultimate Gohan arrives and
ends the saga. Goku remains dead. I don't know about Vegeta though. After he
has killed people at the tournament (and without having performed the Final
Atonement attack to redeem himself), does anybody want him alive? The wish is
probably something like ''revive everyone but Vegeta'', so Vegeta remains dead
too.

What do you think? Discuss.

Changing the past in DBZ doesn't change the future, it just creates a new timeline. :kenshi
