I remember reading that they had little or no budget for LOG1 and a much smaller than expected budget for LOG2. Even so, LOG2 remains to be my favourite DBZ game of all time.

I'd like to see a 2D game with the original art style of the first three. Go for that completely old school, GBA 2003 feel.

As for platforms, PC, IOS and Android are pretty much essential. I'd like a 3DS version also.

As for story, I'd prefer to have a full-fledged GT LOG game, but I suppose Super makes more sense for these modern times.

A "Collection Edition" or all four games in one purchase would be great. I own LOGII but not the other two anymore, so I'd like to add them to my collection again.

I'd kill to be able to go back in time and play a LOG2/BF style LOG1 where someone besides Goku was actually playable and the gameplay wasn't shat out of a horse's arse. While that is the case now, the story is done, a game (even if tentatively) called LOG4 should start after the main events of the Boo saga imo.

An interesting (although unlikely) thing they could do is to do a branch type of game where you can choose either the Super route or the GT route, where Goku has some kind of dream where he meets his younger self from DB or something and you're then asked at the end of said dream if you'd like to return to those days, and by answering yes (to the dismay of ChiChi :troll) you skip to the beginning of GT and become a child and shit while the default route is to go with Super's storyline.

I doubt they have the budget for that though, so I'd prefer they do Super. However a problem arises where Super's English dub hasn't aired yet, so they might only be able to adapt the first 2 arcs (which are already available in movie form).

Agreed. Only Transformation and Final Bout have directly adapted the GT storyline and they sucked balls, and most games usually have Beerus, Whis and Golden Freeza, SSJB etc. these days so that's what they should go with here imo

I don't really like playing Android games as they're too limited, so hoping for a 3DS release

GT Transformation's problems were mostly gameplay wise. It was completely different from LOG's style. I'd like to see a GT game that looks and plays like LOG2/BF.

GT is also complete, whereas Suparar is ongoing and dubless, to your point. I think a GT adaption is a safe bet at this point. Adapting an incomplete Suparar using subs would be risky business.

Some fans have posted LOG style sprites of Whis, Beerus etc and they look really good.

I too would like to see older graphics. If newer graphics then still keep it to 2D. Don't overcomplicate it.

Source: Facebook.

The 3D style is intriguing and I'm loving the 3DS concept art, but please do not sacrifice good gameplay for graphics. Make what works best, in my opinion. I really like how this looks but I ultimately would prefer 2D.

Also, I shared my suggestions on facebook and got five likes (Including one from Webfoot themselves) so they liked my ideas. :king

I'd like to stress as they did, that this is merely concept artwork and does not necessarily represent LOG4.

Well, Super is available every week on crunchyroll to American audiences (yes, licensed by Funimation) just hours after the Japanese broadcast, so it's not like NA has zero exposure to Super right now. Hell, even before the premiere of that show Sean Schemmel, Sabat and various other actors were interviewed and asked if they were excited for a new DB.

That's true, but when creating the first three, they only seemed to study the Funimation anime, according to their behind the scenes interview on LOG2. It might be difficult for them to write concise but decent dialogue based on subs alone.

That's how he's actually written in the Japanese original. Goku grew up in the mountains alone after Gohan died, so it makes sense for him to talk like a hick.

and characters like Goku Black and Hit have made their debuts in Xenoverse 2 even before a Super dub was announced, so it's not like there's no precedent.

Yeah, but this game is made by Americans for an American fanbase, so this has to be Funi's Goku. I don't think it'd work otherwise.

And that's true about Goku Black and Hit, but Xenoverse (to my knowledge) did not have to create a story-heavy RPG with a lot of dialogue for those characters. Webfoot will have to write a ton of dialogue for characters in Super, where the only reliable source of inspiration are subs, and Funimation will almost certainly change a ton of shit to make it better suit Engrish, so the game will probably be funky, especially to American saiyah peepul.

At least with GT there's a dub, subs and it's completed. Webfoot will likely have an easier time adapting that well, don't you think? They've already adapted some of the story in the form of Transformation, so they can use that as a template for a true RPG. Besides, Webfoot liked my post in which I suggested a GT game. :king

Not saying a GT game is impossible, but with a returning game series they're more likely to go for the current series that's going to be aired soon in the US. Of course I concede that the unaired portions of the story (U6 and Future Trunks arcs) probably won't make it into the upcoming game, but it's more likely than a canceled sequel that's been denounced by both Toei and Toriyama (and Funimation) at this point :king :king

That's not confirmed. ^ :CC

Webfoot seems to want to improve the problems in their past games, and so GT should logically be at the top of their list. Transformation wasn't good and it's sequel was cancelled, so they have a lot of unfinished business there.

Super makes sense from a marketing standpoint, but only after the dub starts.

A game usually takes at least a year to fully develop, so it's not unlikely for them to release the game after Super has been on air for some time :CC
